You step into the room. Your feet immediately sink into warm sand. In the center of the room, is a sphinx. It was entirely black, and pretty shiny. As you get closer, you realize. Quartz.

You weren't sure what overcame you, but you just started... talking. Spilling promises you made and broke and the only thing stopping you was the air inside your lungs just running out. Gasping for breath, you looked up. There was a sense of judgement looming over you. You looked at the sphinx, and sighed.

Why did you even care what they thought? It wasn't like they'd tell you. Not now, at least.
